Zulu Nyala Game Park, located in the northeast corner of South Africa, is a wonderful place to see a variety of African megafauna in an intimate setting, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, water buffalo, gazelles, nyala, cheetahs, and a variety of birds. Nearby Mozambique is quite primitive, and offers excellent SCUBA diving, with large pelagics like whale sharks, manta rays, leopard sharks, as well as the small colorful stuff like scorpionfish, leaffish, and nudibranchs. |

Antarctica, the bottom of the world, where heaven meets earth, a land of unparalleled beauty... we visited the Antarctic Peninsula, South Shetland Islands, Deception Island - an old whaling outpost, Half Moon Island - home to Chinstrap penguins nesting on newly hatched chicks, Elephant seals and Wedell seals. Cuverville Island's fluffy icebergs looked like clouds where penguins walked in heaven. Peterman Island, whose shallow waters trap icebergs like a graveyard, including a magnificent arch iceberg resembling the Arch Triumph! Visiting Antarctica is like seeing another world.
